Random magnets on fridges make me cringe. Growing up we would have magnets covering our fridge and there would be no rhyme or reason to them. We would have cleaning services, pizza places and real estate agents magnets… however we didn’t use a cleaning service, ordered pizza on occasion but not from all the places we had magnets of and we weren’t selling the house. They were yucky looking. I now have a few random magnets of my own…. there are stories behind the magnets but they are just random. So I want to get some cute magnets. Yes I said cute magnets lol My first stop Etsy OF COURSE!!!

Check these out from Alona Lahav FANTASTIC!!!

Just to get this off my chest… my blog is kind of therapy lol

My parents would mix cereals when the boxes were getting low. Yea! I thought I was going to have some Coco Puffs but ended up with a bowl of Cheerios. NOT COOL.

Happy Tuesday!

This week I had no idea what image to use for the I Heart Faces challenge. Pets Only. I have a dog… well more like a miniature pony aka Saint Bernard but honestly I keep my camera away from him. He finds joy in shaking his drool every where and I am terrified of getting drool all over my camera lol I am thinking I should get one of those weather sleeves for my camera just to photograph him :) So this is the image I choose. This duck followed us all over the place when we took the kids to Bonny Springs here in Las Vegas. I am surprised he/she didn’t try hopping in our car.

Happy Monday!

I love lazy days. Today we did nothing. Yep nothing. I haven’t left my house and it has been fantastic! I have worked a bit but that is a given for me. I played outside in the water with the kids and then got brave and brought my camera out. We were having a water fight and I didn’t want my camera to get wet lol My kids behaved and I got some shots of the hubs too. He is slowly warming up to my camera :) My kids seem to think that our house is a nudist colony because I can’t keep clothes on them to save my life!

Hope you all are having a fantastic weekend!

I am super excited to now offer online mentoring for the natural light photographer. I have been asked many times if this was something I would be offering and after strong consideration I decide to do it! I love sharing my knowledge with other photographers. Sharing what works for me and what hasn’t. Mistakes I have made and learned from. Finding my style and being true to it. Creating a brand that defines me and my art. Networking with other photographers and creating friendships with others that share my passion.

I will be honest I am not only excited to help other photographers grow but also I am excited to create friendships with those I mentor. I don’t claim to know it all but I know what has worked for me and what hasn’t. As with any artist I am growing and evolving everyday and I am sure those that I mentor won’t be the only ones taking away new knowledge from our sessions :)

One week and Two week mentoring sessions are available. They will include but won’t be limited to a portfolio critique, post processing, shooting style, gear discussion, marketing and networking plus much more. We will communicate via emails, instant messenger and video chats via Skype. I have an in depth questionnaire to be filled out and you will be able to pick my brain with any and all questions photography related… and really feel free to ask me personal questions as well :)

Pricing is $250 for a One Week Session and $400 for a Two Week Session.

To book your mentor session please email me at kelsey@kelseyandersonphotography.com.

Session fees are non refundable but can be rescheduled for a later date if need be.
